GLOBAL - Montae, Robeco, BVI, EFRP, ITM, UBS, AllianzGI, BNP Paribas

Montae - Erik van Houwelingen will start as partner at Rijswijk-based Montae, a consultant on pensions, asset management and governance, on 1 July. Van Houwelingen, 45, is a former chief executive of €200bn Aegon Asset Management. He is currently administrator at the pension fund for dentists and dentist specialists.

Robeco - The asset manager has appointed Tony Edwards as chief executive at Robeco Asia-Pacific. Frances Chang, chief executive for Greater China and South East Asia, left the company on 30 June.

German Asset Management Association (BVI) - Ulrike Kohl has been appointed to head up the BVI's new Brussels office. The political scientist and sociologist is highly experienced in the workings of EU politics after 10 years in a variety of roles, including positions with several MEPs and the European Association of Savings Banks. The BVI opened its new office on 1 July.

European Federation for Retirement Provision - The EFRP, which represents occupational and supplementary pension funds in Europe, is looking to hire an economic adviser. The position will involve tasks such as researching policy, analysing information and responding to EFRP affiliates. Applicants should have a degree in economics or applied economics and minimum of two years' experience in research or financial services. The working language is English, but proficiency in Dutch, French and German is a plus. The deadline for applications is 12 July.

ITM - The specialist data, administration consulting and systems provider has made two new senior appointments. Dominic Hirons joins as head of systems development, while Tim Rees joins as senior consultant. Hirons joins from Mercer, where he was a principle in pensions administration outsourcing. Rees joins from SAUL Trustees Company, where he was administration support and development manager. Before then, he was senior pensions systems manager at KPMG.

UBS - The company's board of directors is planning to nominate Axel Weber as non-independent vice-chairman. He will be put forward for vote at UBS's annual general meeting on 3 May. After his first year in office, he is expected to succeed Kaspar Villiger as chairman of the board in 2013. Weber served as president of the Deutsche Bundesbank from 2004 to the end of April. Before then, he was a professor of economic theory and international economics, teaching at various universities in Germany.
 
Allianz Global Investors - AllianzGI will expand its portfolio management activities to the Netherlands from 1 July. Investments Europe will assume responsibility for the management of Allianz Netherlands Asset Management's fixed income, equity and balanced assets. The Dutch portfolio management team will be integrated into AllianzGI Investments Europe, contributing to its pan-European investment process. Mark Reinalda, equity portfolio manager, will co-head the AllianzGI Europe Netherlands branch, overseeing the local portfolio management activities with Hedwig Peters, who is responsible for the fiduciary management business in the Netherlands.
 
BNP Paribas Investment Partners (BNPP IP) - Helena Viñes Fiestas has been appointed co-head of SRI research alongside Jacky Prudhomme. She will manage all the analysis and research dedicated to SRI-themed funds, the company said.
