EUROPE - There are now less than 36 hours to go before IPE closes voting for this year's Outstanding Industry Contribution award at the IPE European Pension Fund Awards 2008.

There were more nominations than ever before in the first round of names presented this year, but four of the names put forward last year have again been presented this year:

IPE would like to know who you rank as your top three contributors to the pensions industry so the 13 people nominated for this year's Outstanding Industry Contribution award are:

Agnieszka Chlon-Dominczak, Polish pensions minister: For "reversing years of sclerosis and moving to finish Poland's pensions reform by presenting legislation setting up a system for the payout phase Anton van Nunen: Founding father of the fiduciary management movement in the Netherlands Bruno Gabellieri, secretary general of the European Association of Paritarian Institutions of Social Protection (AEIP): For promoting shared responsibility for pensioners across Europe Chris Hitchen: For providing leadership to the NAPF and the EFRP Chris Verhaegen, general secretary of the EFRP "and its driving force" Howard Pearce, Environment Agency: For his work on environmental overlay strategy and social governance in pension funds Lars Rohde, CEO of ATP: For services to the Danish pensions industry Peter Skinner, Rapporteur: For his work in seeking a consensus against the application of Solvency II to occupational pension funds Philip Neyt: For contributing to the Belgian initiative for developing a pan-European pension frame Prof. Andreas Reichlin: For his research on ALM for DB schemes in Switzerland Prof. David Blake, Cass Business School: For setting up the Pensions Institute Prof. Guus Beonders: For his long-term achievements in ALM matters, Theo Jeurissen: For his contribution to the pensions industry in the Netherlands, especially to industry-wide pension funds.

Similarly, the votes closes by the end of tomorrow for Consultant of the Year, so if you are eligible to vote in this category, please make sure you rank your top three.
