UK – The National Association of Pension Funds has teamed up with publisher AP Information Services on the “Blue Book” directory of UK pension funds.

The agreement means NAPF members will receive a free copy of ‘Pension Funds and their Advisers 2006’ when the 29th annual edition is published in April next year.

And NAPF pension fund members will also be provided with free access to the online version at www.pensionfundsonline.co.uk.

The director provides access to more than 2,400 UK pension funds and 850 suppliers and advisers to the industry.

“As part of this new association business members of the NAPF can purchase copies of Pension Funds and their Advisers and have access to its website at an attractive discount,” a statement said.

The NAPF intends to stop publishing its online directory of members. This will be replaced with a hyperlink from the NAPF website to www.pensionfundsonline.co.uk.

“’Pension Funds and their Advisers’ is a very important resource for our members; enabling them to keep up to speed on who runs major UK pension funds, and where pension funds are investing and providing important information on advisers and suppliers of pension services that are of everyday use to them,” said NAPF chief executive Christine Farnish.

AP’s managing director Alan Philipp said: “We are excited about our partnership with the NAPF. Over many years we have built up a very impressive database of information and contacts in the pensions industry which will provide their members with real added value via both a hard copy of the directory or the website.”

IPE is a joint venture partner of AP Information Services in ‘International Pension Funds and their Advisers’ (the “Red Book”).
