GLOBAL - Austrian Pensionskassen association FVPK, PIMCO, Mn Services, Mercer, Barnett Waddingham, Skagen Global Management, Hazel Carr, Financial Services Authority (FSA), KAS Bank, Otkritie

FVPK - From summer this year the Austrian Pensionskassen association FVPK may have a new chairman. The industry will have a choice between Andreas Zakostelsky, head of the newly rebranded Valida Holding, incumbent head Christian Böhm of the APK who has headed the FVPK since 2004 and Johannes Ziegelbecker of the Bundespensionskasse for the public sector.

PIMCO - Mikael Angberg has been hired as senior vice president and head of business development for the Nordic region by the investment management firm. Joining from BNP Paribas, Angberg will be based in the London offices and report to Michael Burns, executive vice president and head of PIMCO's Nordic business.
 
Mn Services - The fiduciary manager has appointed Stephanie Limond as an account manager in its UK team. Limond joins from BlackRock and will be responsible for managing relationships with its UK fiduciary management clients and will report to managing director Remco van Eeuwijk.

Mercer - The consultancy firm has strengthened its Asia Pacific and global manager research businesses with a series of appointments. Simon Eagleton joins the Investment Consulting Leadership Team (ICLT) as Asia Pacific investment consulting regional business leader, and will retain his existing role in Australia/New Zealand for the immediate future. He replaces Tony Cole who is taking a new role centred on key client consulting. Anthony Lane, regional Chief Operating Officer (COO) for investment consulting in Asia Pacific, will assume the role of leader of Mercer's global manager research boutiques business, replacing Jeff Schutes

Barnett Waddingham - Annemarie Allen has been appointed as senior pension consultant in the firm's public sector practice. She joins with over 20 year's experience of Local Government Pension Schemes in both the administration of the LGPS and assisting employers with their pension issues.

Skagen - Søren Milo Christensen is to join the Skagen Global Management team in mid-May as a portfolio manager with responsibility for analysis of existing and potential new companies in the equity fund. He joins from Danish BankInvest, where his focus was on Asia and emerging markets.

Hazell Carr Limited - David Gavins has been appointed as head of Hazell Carr, a company providing solutions including actuarial and pension administration. Gavins joins from Ernst & Young where he spent nine years as an executive director.

FSA - Dame Sandra Dawson and Amanda Davidson have been appointed as non-executive directors of the FSA beginning on 1 May 2010. Dame Sandra is professor of management at Cambridge University and has previously held non-executive roles at Barclays and Fleming Claverhouse Investment Trust. Davidson has been a director of Baigrie Davies, an Independent Financial Adviser, since 2005. She previously held board positions at Chase De Vere, and served on a number of regulatory committees.

KAS Bank - Ron Teerlink has been proposed for appointment to the supervisory board of the bank to replace Mrs H. Donkervoort. The DNB has approved the appointment of Teerlink, who is chief administrative officer of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, and has previously worked at ABN AMRO.

Otkritie - The Russian brokerage firm has hired a six-strong foreign exchange (FX) and money markets team from MDM Bank. Sergey Kerch is appointed head of FX & money markets; Sergey Vandysh will take on the role of councillor of the head of FX & money markets and Petr Neimyshev is head of FX markets. Timothy Doskovsky is appointed senior dealer at FX markets, Kazbek Shukaev becomes head of banknote operations and Yuri Pivovarov is appointed deputy head of banknote operations.

Heartwood - Jade Fu and Jaisal Pastakia have been appointed investment associates in the wealth manager's investment management division reporting to Alan Sippetts, the head of research. Fu joins from Barclays Capital, and Pastakia joins from Dresdner Kleinwort. Both their roles will focus on portfolio management and research.
