GLOBAL - ING Investment Management, Gatemore Capital Management, Northern Trust, Pioneer Investments, Gartmore, INREV, Aon Risk Solutions, Carmignac Gestion, SEB Enskilda, Henderson Global Investors

ING Investment Management - The company has appointed Jan Nauts, the former chief investment officer at Dutch pension fund Stichting Pensioenfonds UWV, as client advisor for its implemented client solutions division. Mark den Hollander, head of investment solutions, said: "Jan Nauts knows everything there is to know about the needs and problems of Dutch pension funds - this background means he is perfectly placed to take up his new role."

Gatemore Capital Management - The pension scheme investment consultancy has appointed Bella Edmunds as a senior analyst. Edmunds, who will be based in London, will support the boutique's UK client based and improve its European manager research capabilities. She joins from JLT Actuaries & Consultants, where she was a key member of the equity manager research team. Before then, she worked at Barnett Waddingham.

Northern Trust - The Chicago-based company has appointed Wim van Ooijen as country head for the Netherlands, succeeding Eric Pouwels, who has been named director of strategic development for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Van Ooijen, who joined Northern Trust in 2004, will be responsible for all asset servicing business development, sales and client activities across The Netherlands and serve as the primary contact for regulators.

Pioneer Investments - Mats Langensjö, former head of Nordic institutional business at Pioneer Investments, has joined Swedish PR and communications company Diplomat Communications in Stockholm. Langensjö will be a partner and co-owner of the company. He will focus on developing and building the financial communications capabilities, including in the areas of investments, finance and business advisory.
Langensjö left Pioneer in the spring as a result of a restructuring of the institutional business.

Gartmore - The asset manager has appointed Robert Kyprianou as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately. Kyprianou was formerly the chief executive at AXA Framlington until his retirement in September 2009. Previous appointments include global head of fixed income and later deputy chief executive and global head of securities at AXA Investment Managers; business head and global head of fixed income at ABN AMRO Asset Management; and director and head of portfolio management at Salomon Brothers Asset Management.
 
INREV - INREV's Andrea Carpenter is to join sister organisation ANREV, the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles, on a three-month secondment. Carpenter, director of professional standards and communications for INREV, will move to Hong Kong from October 2010 to work alongside the ANREV senior management team. During her secondment, she will help implement the co-operation agreement between the two organisations announced last December.

Aon Risk Solutions - The global risk and insurance firm has appointed Craig Preston, currently chief commercial officer of Aon's crisis management business, as area director responsible for Aon Corporate's Reading and Southampton offices in the UK. John Harris, currently executive director with regional responsibilities for ACM UK and Ireland, will become global chief commercial officer of crisis management. Both appointments take effect from 1 September.

Carmignac Gestion - Carlos Galvis has joined Carmignac Gestion as manager of the Carmignac-Cash Plus fund. On the fixed income team, Galvis will work alongside Rose Ouahba (co-manager of Carmignac Patrimoine, manager of Carmignac Sécurité and Carmignac Court Terme) and Charles Zerah (manager of Carmignac Global Bond). Before joining Carmignac Gestion in 2001, Galvis was head of Amundi absolute return funds in London.

SEB Enskilda - Carsten Heinild has been recruited to co-head SEB Enskilda Corporate Finance in Denmark, together with Arne Due-Hansen. Heinild has a background as a senior investment banker in Alfred Berg and ABN AMRO, and currently heads Royal Bank of Scotland's Danish operations. He will join SEB in the first quarter of next year.

Henderson Global Investors - The asset manager has appointed Andrew Griffiths as an analyst in its eight-strong credit analyst team. Griffiths, who joined on 31 August, will report to Stephen Thariyan, head of credit. He joins from Insight Investment, where he has been a senior credit analyst for two years. Before then, he held credit analyst roles at UBS, PIMCO Europe and Deutsche Bank.
