DENMARK - AP Pension's chief investment officer Jan Samsø has left the pension fund
and will be replaced in September by Claus Christjansen, according to a spokesman for the occupational pensions provider.

Samsø left AP Pension at the end of April, moving to Fionia Bank which is based in Odense. He and his family had already moved from Copenhagen to the region, and this was why he chose to switch jobs, said Hans Dam, communications manager for the pension fund.

Though the fund was very happy with the work conducted by Samsø, the management said is also pleased about their new appointment.

"We think we have found a very good replacement - a person who can deal with future challenges," said Dam.

Christjansen currently works for Sampension, where AP Pension's CIO Søren Dal Thomsen used to be head of investments. He will take up his new post at AP Pension in September.

AP Pension had DKK28.3bn (€3.8bn) in assets at year-end 2006.
