UK - AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has launched a new institutional range of pooled pension funds.

The pooled fund range comprises 15 existing funds and four new funds for long-dated gilts, long-dated AA corporate bonds, UK and global equities funds.

Nigel Loweth, Head of Pooled Funds at AXA IM, comments: “The AXA Institutional range is designed to meet various levels of customer demand. First, we realise there is a growing shift out of balanced funds. Therefore, we’re offering funds in all asset classes with a free unbundling and rebalancing facility. Secondly, our fund range is supported by several added-value services such as tailored reporting and accommodation of customised benchmarks.”

The new funds include a global equity fund available to schemes with no predisposition to specific equity markets, while the high-alpha UK equity focus fund targets the trend trend towards core/satellite asset management approaches.

In response to market and regulatory changes, AXA says the long AA corporate Bond Fund is aimed at providing an “off the shelf” solution to meet FRS17 requirements while the Long Gilt Fund, introduced specifically at the request of trustees, according to AXA, addresses MFR concerns.
