EUROPE - BNP Paribas Securities Services and JP Morgan Worldwide Securities Services have separately announced senior appointments.

BNP Paribas named Patrick Colle as head of product - clearing, settlement and custody.

He joins from JP Morgan Chase where he was senior vice president and global business manager of American Depositary Receipts in London. He'll report to Michel Laurent, head of product and marketing.

Elsewhere, JP Morgan WSS has named Francis Jackson as head of new business development and client management in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Jackson joins from SEI Investments, where he was global head of private banking and distribution, JP Morgan said. He'll report to Conrad Kozak and Tom Christofferson, global sales executive.

And meanwhile, Société Générale announced it has completed its previously announced acquisition of UniCredit's securities services business, Italy's second largest custodian.
A total of 435 staff, of whom 376 are based in Italy, have been transferred to SGSS.

"The deal is part of our strategy to develop our securities services activity, which, like the other businesses within GIMS, is one of Société Générale's drivers for growth," said Société Générale Global Investment Management and Services' chief executive Philippe Collas.
