GLOBAL - Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Northern Trust, State Street Global Advisors, SYZ & Co

Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry - Marc Saluzzi has been appointed president of the organisation, having been on the ALFI's board since 2001. Saluzzi, who is the lead partner at PwC's Luxembourg financial services practice, has also been chairman of the AFLI Alternatives committee since 2009. His term will run until 2013.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management - Mark Oldcorn has been named managing director and insurance business head for Europe. Oldcorn, who joins from Credit Suisse where he was head of European insurance investment banking, will assume the newly created role in July. In the past, he has also worked at Bank of America.

Northern Trust - Following the successful acquisition of hedge fund administrator Omnium, its global head of business development and client service R. Peter Sanchez will become chief executive of Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services, a division of the company's global fund services. Sanchez has previously worked at OpHedge Investment Services, as well as Royal Bank of Canada.

State Street Global Advisors - Bill Street has been named global head of fixed income alpha strategies, while Brian Kinney has been appointed global head of fixed income beta solutions. The company intends to recruit a global head of fixed income research in the near future to assist Street. In his previous role, Street was co-head of active fixed income, alongside William Cunningham, who has now departed, while Kinney previously led the company's government solutions group.

SYZ & Co - Katia Coudray Cornu has joined as head of SYZ Fund research, having spent the past decade at UBP in charge of multi-management and manager selection. In the past, Coudray Cornu has worked at Banque Edouard Constant, heading up the company's investment funds department. She currently also teaches at the Higher Institute of Banking Training.
