GLOBAL - APG, PFZW, ABP, Prudential, Independent Trustee Services, BlackRock, Société Générale Securities Services, ICGN, Genesta

APG - Edwin van der Reijden has been appointed director of marketing, communications and distribution. Over the last two years, Van der Reijden has been director of marketing and channel management at Syntrus Achmea's pensions division. Before then, he was director for small and average-sized companies at insurer Interpolis and director of pensions at ABN-AMRO Bank. He succeeds Frank Elion.

PFZW - Els Swaab has been appointed independent chairwoman of the Pension Council - for accountability and co-decision-making - at the €98bn Dutch healthcare scheme. The Pension Council consists of representatives of active participants, pensioners and employers.

ABP - The €242bn civil service scheme ABP has appointed Henk Brouwer as its new chairman. Brouwer recently left Dutch pensions supervisor DNB, where he has been director since 1997. During the past two years, he has been responsible for the supervision of banks and supervisory policy.

Prudential - David Caw has been appointed to head-up the private sector corporate pensions client management team. Caw, a 20-year veteran of the corporate pensions industry, joins from Standard Life. He will lead the team responsible for Prudential's key defined contribution clients.

Independent Trustee Services - Martine Trouard-Riolle has joined as director. After starting her career as an insolvency lawyer, Trouard-Riolle qualified as an insolvency practitioner before joining the UK Pensions Regulator, where she was head of corporate risk management, with responsibility for the clearance and anti-avoidance teams.
 
BlackRock - Amra Balic has joined as head of corporate governance and responsible investment for the EMEA region. Balic will be responsible for leading CGRI efforts in London and covering engagement and voting in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She joins from Standard & Poor's, where she was a director in European corporate credit ratings. 

Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) - Jochen Meyers has been appointed managing director for sales and relationship management in Germany and Austria. Meyers has more than 16 years' experience in the German securities services industry. He will be responsible for growth and commercial development strategy in Germany and Austria.

International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) - Members at the AGM appointed three new board governors to the investor-led network. They include Erik Breen, head of responsible investing and senior vice-president at Robeco; Carol Hansell, senior partner at Canada-based Davies, Ward, Phillips & Vineberg LLP; and Nasser Saidi, executive director at the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governors in Dubai and head of external relations at the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority

Genesta - Genesta Property Nordic has recruited Per Haraldsson as controller. Haraldsson, who has nearly 15 years of experience in property finance, property valuation and analysis, most recently worked as business controller at Steen & Ström. He has also worked as an accountant, controller and market analyst Citycon, Rodamco and Jones Lang LaSalle.
