Clara-Pensions – The member-first consolidator for defined benefit (DB) pension schemes has appointed Rebecca Wainwright as its new chief operating officer, while Uravi Patel, Louise Ellisdon and Damien Pantling complete the growing team.

Wainwright joins Clara with 20 years of experience in the insurance sector alongside previous positions in executive committees and boards. Most recently, she was director of heritage strategy, planning, and project delivery at Phoenix Group, and she also served as COO at Reassure.

Patel and Ellisdon join Clara from Just Group. Patel will serve as senior legal counsel and Ellisdon as pensions administration client relationship manager. Pantling will serve as head of financial reporting. He held a similar role at Berkshire County Council Pension Fund.

LCPKeryn James will join LCP’s board as independent chair on 1 April 2024. She replaces Graham Elton who has retired after nearly seven years in the role.

James was previously chief executive officer of the global sustainability consulting business ERM. Under her leadership, ERM grew to revenues of over $800m, operating in 47 countries.

Her other board roles include: Siemens AG Supervisory Board; Opus Talent Solutions, a business that fosters the development of talent in the tech and energy industries; the not-for-profits Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet; and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.


IFM Investors – Pension-fund owned global fund manager IFM Investors has designated Claudia Marciano as head of global consultant relations, based in London, where she will lead the firm’s investment consultant and OCIO strategy.

Marciano has over two decades of experience in working with investment consultants globally and joins from Ashmore Group, where she was leading the firm’s consultant relations efforts. She previously held similar leadership positions at Stone Harbor Investment Partners, TT International, and Morgan Stanley Investment Management.


Newton Investment Management – Newton, part of BNY Mellon Investment Management, has appointed Tjeerd Voskamp as global head of distribution – a newly-created role.

As part of executive management, Voskamp will help to expand Newton’s role as a global asset manager through driving institutional distribution strategies. He will report to Euan Munro, CEO of Newton.

Voskamp brings more than two decades of experience in leading sizeable global distribution teams. He joins from JO Hambro Capital Management, where he was head of distribution for UK, Europe and Asia, and was responsible for identifying international growth opportunities and overseeing the firm’s European distribution expansion.

LGPS CentralAnouska Ramsay has been apponted as the investment pool’s new chief people officer. She joins the company’s executive team, bringing with her a wealth of experience in human resources and talent management.

Ramsay joins LGPS Central from Santander, where she served as HR director for culture and capability. During her tenure at Santander, she led numerous progressive people initiatives and was an active member of the gender equality leadership team at Business in the Community.


Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) – The TNFD has appointed a senior advisory group and announced that Elizabeth Maruma Mrema is stepping down from her role as co-chair due to the demands of her role as assistant secretary-general of the United Nations and deputy executive director of the UN Environment Programme.

Maruma Mrema will remain with the TNFD as a member of the new senior advisory body. The other members are:

  • Andre Hoffmann, vice-chair at Roche and board member of WEF, Capitals Coalition and B-Team;
  • Andrew Mitchell, founder of Global Canopy;
  • Hiro Mizuno, CEO of Good Stewards Partners and former CIO of the Government Pension Investment Fund of Japan;
  • Lucy Mulenkei, co-chair of International Indigenous Forum for Biodiversity;
  • Paul Polman, business leader and co-author of ‘Net Positive’;
  • Curtis Ravenel, senior adviser at Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and Net-Zero Data Public Utility;
  • Rhian-Mari Thomas, CEO of Green Finance Institute;
  • Simon Zadek, co-CEO of NatureFinance.

Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) – Giorgio Cocini has been appointed as a managing director overseeing PIMCO’s business in Italy, France and Iberia, having responsibility for client and business management functions.

Supporting him will be Adriano Nelli, executive vice-president, who will become head of Italy; Eleni Sifakis, executive vice-president and head of France; and Juanma Jimenez Sanchez, executive vice-president and head of Iberia.

Cocini will commence his new position in June, as he is currently the global co-head of financial institutions investment banking at Bank of America. He was promoted to this role in 2021, prior to which he was Bank of America’s EMEA financial institutions investment banking co-head.
