JP Morgan Asset ManagementJohn Taylor will join as head of EMEA ETF capital markets, as an executive director. He will report to Ryan Szakacs, global head of ETF capital markets at JP Morgan AM, and will be managing a team of four.

Prior to joining JP Morgan AM, Taylor spent more than a decade at BlackRock, most recently as head of EMEA ETF primary markets. He began his career at Investors Bank & Trust, later acquired by State Street.

“John’s experience strengthens our EMEA capabilities at an important point in our growth. We are building a global capital markets function with local depth, designed to deliver consistent execution outcomes and to scale efficiently as markets expand,” said Travis Spence, global head of ETFs at JP Morgan AM. 

 

aba – The German occupational pension association has appointed five new members to its executive board.

The newly elected members are Eike Burmann, head of pension management at Volkswagen, André Geilenkothen, partner at Mercer Deutschland, Benedikt Köster, board member at pensions lifeboat fund Pensions-Sicherungs-Verein VVaG (PSVaG), Hansjörg Müllerleile, managing director of MetallRente, and Sabine Payne, head of benefits Germany at Deutsche Bank.

Marko Brambach, Johannes TeslauDietmar Droste, Stefan Oecking and Georg Thurnes have stepped down.

Aba’s members confirmed Beate Petry as chair, with Dirk Jargstorff and Claudia Picker as deputy chairs.

ZEDRADan Whincup has joined the consultancy as client director, based in Leeds.

Whincup joins ZEDRA after spending 11 years as part of the in-house senior leadership team at Coal Pension Trustees, supporting the trustees of the Mineworkers Pension Scheme and the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme.

His responsibilities as chief pensions officer included leading strategic funding, investment collaboration, secretariat services, pension administration and member communication.

Prior to that, Whincup spent 14 years as an actuarial consultant at PwC, WTW and Mercer.

 

RBC BlueBay Asset Management – The firm has made two additional senior hires for its presence in France. Suzanne Dos Santos Wahl has joined as head of institutional and Julien Jacquet as director business development financial institutions. Based in Paris, both will report to RBC BlueBay’s head of France, Doris Santillana.

Dos Santos joins with two decades of experience in institutional asset management, with strong expertise in investment strategy and client engagement. Most recently, she was head of business development at Prevaal Finance in Paris and prior to this held sales leadership and business development roles at both Covea Finance and State Street Global Advisors.

Jacquet brings more than 20 years of experience in asset management distribution and strategic client development. He joins from Lazard Frères Gestion in Paris where he was head of consultant relations and RFP. Prior to this, he held senior sales and client leadership roles across institutional and wholesale markets.
