Hewitt - Towers Perrin's Pantelis Argyrou has joined the pensions consulting team in Cyprus. Pantelis will be based in the Nicosia office.

Fidelity International - Ayesha Akbar has started at the London-based multimanager team as a portfolio manager for Asian and emerging markets equities, and joins from Barclays Wealth. Geraldine Stewart, head of multimanager investment, is looking to recruit three more staff to the team.

Watson Wyatt - Gijsbert de Lange will head the structured solutions efforts in continental Europe, based in the Dutch Amstelveen office. He joins from ABN Amro.

Pioneer Investment Management - Pioneer has appointed the Moscow-based portfolio managers Sergey Grigoryanto (pictured right) and Andrew Bershadsky (pictured below, right) to run its Russian funds. Grigoryan, from Russ Capital Asset Management Company, is the new head of portfolio management, while Bershadsky, from Raiffeisen Capital, is now fixed income portfolio manager. Grigoryan has also been elected as head of the firm's investment Committee, established to run the Russian stocks portfolio.

Dutch Circle of Pension Specialists - Eric Bergamin of law firm Bergamin & Gielink Pensioenrechtadvies has been appointed as the new chairman of the Dutch Circle of Pension Specialists (KPS) from July 1, succeeding Piere Akkermans.

Investec Asset Management - David Veal has left Investment Solutions to join the institutional client services team at Investec, focusing on fixed income and multi-asset strategies.

Redington Partners - Philip Rose from Morgan Stanley will head up the asset liability matching team of the London-based consultancy firm.

Lane Clark & Peacock - Charlie Finch and David Stewart have been promoted to partners within the consultancy's pensions buyout department.

Aberdeen Asset Managers - Scott Bennett, joining from ABN Amro in Hong Kong, is the new head of Asian credit within the Singapore-based Asian fixed income team. This is a new role within the team.

Northern Trust - Sunil Daswani has been promoted to head the client sales and relationship management for securities lending in Europe Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific. Georg Trapp will replace Daswani as regional manager for securities lending in Asia.

Baring Asset Management - Lynne Pellegrini, the new business development director, and Graham Glass, a senior investment manager, have both joined the Guernsey Office. Pellegrini was previously at Legg Mason in Boston, while Glass worked at UBS Asset Management.

Rowanmoor Pensions - Mark Randell has been appointed as a non-regulated senior consultant  within the southern consultancy team. He previously worked at Clerical Medical.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership - Dickson Anderson has been promoted to head of product development at SWIP in Edinburgh.

DNB - Flip Klopper will step down as member of the board of the Dutch central bank on May 1 to follow a career in the private sector.
