Ermitage GroupBlackRock's John Rushen joins the alternative asset manager chaired by Paul Myners as executive director. He will manage Ermitage's London-based European institutional business and have a particular focus on pension funds.

State Street Corporation - Jim Clark was appointed managing director of the UK trustee business, State Street Trustees Limited (SSTL). Clark, who was previously at JP Morgan, succeeds the retiring Donald Anderson in this role.

Crédit Agricole Asset Management - Franck du Plessix and Alexandre Schneebeli, both from SGAM Alternative Investments, have respectively been appointed as head of structured product sales and deputy head of structured product sales within the institutional, corporate and distributors international division. Eric Tazé-Bernard has also been appointed head of investment of long-only multimanagement, joining from Invesco.

Watson Wyatt - Neil Barrell has joined as a senior consultant from ExcellerateHRO, the joint venture HR outsourcing company formed between Towers Perrin and EDS, where he held the position of director of client management, Europe.

Faculty of Actuaries - Ronnie Bowie (pictured, right), a senior partner at Hymans Robertson, has been appointed to replace Stewart Ritchie as president of the Faculty. Gordon Sharp will become the chairman of the Continuous Mortality Investigation (CMI), replacing Brian Ridsdale on July 1. He is a member of the CMI executive committee.

NorthernTrust - HSBC Securities Services' Stephanie Saunders will head up infrastructure fund administration team, part of Northern Trust's real estate and infrastructure fund services department, based in Guernsey.

Schroders - Rami Sidani, from SHUAA Capital, has joined Schroders as head of Middle East and North Africa portfolio management. Further recruits are to be announced in the near future.

Morley - Douglas Carson and Jessica Way will manage assets in the Norwich Property Trust (NPT). Carson from Jones Lang LaSalle and Way was previously at Cheval Properties Ltd.

Bank of England - Charles Bean has been promoted to deputy governor of the Bank of England for monetary stability, for a period of five years starting on July 1.

Toscafund - Mehmet Dalman has been appointed as vice chairman and partner. He also joins the activist hedge fund's parent company, Old Oak Holdings, as a director. He is currently chief executive of WMG Group.

Pyramis Global Advisors - Kevin Uebelein has been named president and chief executive of the division of Fidelity Investments of Boston focused on institutional asset management. He will succeed the retiring Peter Smail.

GLG Partners - Fabrice Bay will join the London office from DWS/Deutsche Asset Management in Frankfurt as the American alternative asset manager's new portfolio manager in August. Galia Velimukhametova - also as a portfolio manager - was hired earlier this month with the responsibility of launching its European office. Last May, Merrill Lynch's Warren Touwen joined as manager dealing with alpha capture research and development.

Mercer - Padma Ravichander is the new managing director for Mercer in India, based in Bangalore. She joins from Perot Systems.

Helix Financial - Wayne Fitzgerald and Scott Joel have been promoted to lead the boutique consulting firm's new fixed income advisory and analytics business. Fitzgerald's former business development role has been split into three new positions, while Ken Montgomery is joining from CIT Group as managing director for US business development.

CB Richard Ellis - David Sullivan and Steven Yeh have joined CB Richard Ellis Investors, the global real estate investment management firm, as directors in investors services. Sulilvan was formerly director of institutional marketing at Broadway Partners while Yeh was previously vice president of the account management group for real estate at BlackRock, focused on consultant relations.
