GLOBAL - T. Rowe Price, Legal & General IM, Icelandic Enterprise Fund, Hermes, Kirstein Finans, Pictet AM, Buchanan Street Partners, Pioneer Investments, Mercer, Watson Wyatt, Vereniging Achmea, CBRE Investors

T. Rowe Price - Mike Gitlin, currently the firm's global head of trading, will succeed Mary J. Miller as director of the fixed income division. Miller has been nominated by US president Barack Obama to become assistant secretary for financial markets within the US Department of Treasury. She is currently awaiting final US Senate approval, but is stepping down with effect from 18 December, 2009.

Legal & General IM - Paul Murray has arrived as head of investment risk, having previously worked at F&C as head of risk management for alternative investments.

Icelandic Enterprise Fund - August Einarsson has been elected chairman of the fund by its 16 members, and Ragnar Önundarson, chairman of Pension Verslunarmanna, has been elected vice president.

Hermes Fund Managers - Mike Webb, a key adviser to the BT Pension Scheme, resigned from the Hermes board of directors "for business reasons" on 11 December.

Kirstein Finans - Jan Willers has become head of a new department called Financial Market Research, having previously worked as a project manager on the firm's Investor Survey. Henrik Hoffmann-Fischer has also altered his role from project analyst to financial analyst in Financial Market Research. And Nikolaj Eriksen has also been promoted to head of department for search and selection.

Pictet Asset Management -Klaus Bockstaller is now head of EMEA and Latin America (LatAm) and co-lead of the global emerging markets equities portfolios, alongside Nidhi Mahurkar, head of Asia. Hugo Bain has joined as senior investment manager on Eastern Europe. Both were previously founding partners at Fleming Family and Partners Capital Management LLP (FCM).

Buchanan Street Partners - Tim Ballard and Dominic Petrucci have respectively been promoted and take on additional duties as president and chief operating officer. Ballard is a founder and chief investment officer while Petrucci is already chief financial officer. Robert Brunswick is now chairman as well as CEO.

Pioneer Investments - Rachael Lowe has joined the firm as consultant relations director, reporting to Ian Burton, head of UK consultant relations, and is based in London. She joined from Insight Investment.

Mercer - The number of people in its dynamic de-risking solutions team has increased following a series of new appointments. Carolyn Schuster-Woldan and Nick Deahl have moved from their current roles at the investment and business consulting teams to become consultants for MDDS division. Terry Henrickson has also left Milliman Financial Risk Management to become a strategic consultant. Catherine Reddin and Mark Burchell are both operations consultants. Reddin previously held an operations role at Integrated Alternative Investments while Burchell will move from Mercer's retirement division where he is a governance specialist.

Watson Wyatt - Paul Herbert has joined the defined contribution (DC) team as a senior investment consultant, having previously worked at Hewitt Associates.

Vereniging Achmea - Chairman Gijs Swalef will retire from the firm on 31 March 2010. Paul Overmars, currently vice-chairman, has been appointed to succeed him.

CBRE Investors - Michael Del Santo has joined as a senior director on the strategic partners US team in Los Angeles. He was previously at ProLogis but worked at CBRE prior to that.
