GLOBAL - SEI, Sacker & Partners, KAS Bank, Schroders

SEI - The US-based fiduciary manager has hired three experts in liability-driven investing (LDI), corporate finance and risk management. Randy Cusick joins as director of institutional advice, working with corporate pension plans in the development of customised LDI strategies. Prior to joining SEI, he spent 11 years as a principal with Towers Watson. Nancy Nakovick joins as director of global LDI strategy implementation, responsible for the development of derivative and overlay strategies. She has held senior positions at Citigroup, Société Générale, Bear Stearns and Goldman Sachs. Thomas Harvey, who has held senior corporate advisory and investment banking positions at Wachovia Securities and First Union Securities, serves as director of institutional advice, responsible for advising clients on controlling pension-related balance sheet or expense volatility.

EDHEC - Eric Shirbini has been named business development director for Europe with the newly launched EDHEC-Risk Indices & Benchmarks. Prior to joining EDHEC's new project, he was director of quantitative research at Nomura, responsible for tailoring the research product to European investors. Shirbini has also spent time as a quantitative analyst for the UK portfolio trading team at UBS, as well as working as global head of the equity research database and senior quantitative analyst with Exane BNP Paribas.

Sacker & Partners - The UK-based pensions law firm has promoted Claire van Rees to associate. Van Rees joined Sackers from Hogan Lovells in 2010 and has six years' pensions experience. Since joining Sackers, she has worked on section 75 debt issues, corporate transactions and the application of tax legislation to registered and unregistered pensions schemes.

KAS Bank - Martin Nadel joins KAS as head of relationship management for the UK. Nadel joins from EMCF, where he was most recently in business development and control. In his 12-year career, he has gained experience in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific, and has held several managerial positions at Fortis.

Schroders - Rob Hall has taken on the newly created role of head of manager selection on the asset manager's FUM Multi-Asset business. With more than 23 years' experience and 20 years in manager research in selection, Hall joins from Russell Investments. His appointment follows the recent hire of Nicolaas Marais, who joined the company as head of multi-Asset investments and portfolio solutions from BlackRock's Multi-Asset Client Solutions Group, where he was global head of active portfolio management. Schroders' multi-asset team has more than 350 UK pension fund clients.
