BELGIUM - Pensioenfonds UZ Gent VZW, the pension fund for employees of the university hospital in Ghent, is looking for two investment managers for a €58m global equity portfolio.

The selection process is structured around two lots: one is a "passive to slightly active" €29m global equity mandate, alongside an "active to very active" €29m mandate.

"The geographical spread [of the active mandate] does not necessarily have to be bound to the market capitalisation so that certain regions - on indication of the investment managers - are more strongly represented," the fund said in a contract notice published today.

Both lots will use currency hedging for the non-Euro element of allocation, according to a statement from the fund which is being advised by Watson Wyatt's Brussels office.

One manager will be appointed for both lots but the fund expects between three to seven participants to tender.

Requests to participate in the selection procedure can be submitted to the fund until Tuesday May 29.
