NETHERLANDS- Michel Alofs has replaced Gerard Roelofs as head of Deutsche Asset Management’s operations in the Netherlands after Roelofs left to spend more time with his family.

Alofs, who is already with Deutsche in the Netherlands is promoted from his position of director. Roelofs is taking a six month sabbatical after which he will look for new work.

Following Roelofs’ departure, Owen Thiers has been promoted to head of institutional sales. Thiers used to share responsibility for the institutional market with Alofs until the latter’s promotion.

Paul Martin, the man who launched the Amsterdam office three years ago with Roelofs, has been promoted to head of retail sales. Prior to the shake up he worked on the retail side with Roelofs and Catheleyne van Erp, who remains involved on the sales and marketing side of the business.
