NETHERLANDS - ING Investment Management is looking for a chief executive for Europe following the announced departure of Angelien Kemna.

Kemna will leave in July to explore other personal and professional interests, including a part-time academic position.

ING IM said it was eager to discuss the vacancy with late applicants but the post must be filled by July 1.

The new incumbent will hold responsibility for €152bn in assets under management, part of a global total for ING IM of €370bn, and 800 staff of which 220 are investment specialists.

Kemna will have been chief executive for almost five years. She joined ING IM in 2001, initially as chief investment officer.

Since 2001, ING IM's assets under management grew from €130bn to €152bn, equivalent to annualised compound growth of 3.12%.

A spokesman said ING IM's key products included investment solutions for ING's network, ING insurance companies and institutional clients.
