Allianz, Anthos, Huisartsen, Pensjonskasseforeningen, Ocean Conservation Trust
Allianz – Günther Thallinger is leaving the German insurer, where he was a member of its management board with responsibility for proprietary investments.
In a statement last week, Allianz said Thallinger and its supervisory board had mutually agreed that his term as a member of the management board will conclude at the end of December.
An industry figure with high expectations of institutional investors’ management of climate risk, Thallinger was the inaugural chair of the UN-backed Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, with Allianz having been a founding member of the initiative. He stepped down at the end of 2024. In a hard-hitting blog post last year, he warned about the financial risk that a 3°C world would present to asset owners like Allianz.
Andreas Wimmer, member of the management board of Allianz SE in charge of asset management and US life insurance, will assume additional responsibility for Allianz Investment Management SE following Thallinger’s departure.
Thomas Kunzmann, who will join the Allianz SE Board 1 January, will take on the additional responsibility for global health and sustainability.
Anthos Fund & Asset Management – In the Netherlands, Ronald Wuijster, the former chief executive officer of APG Asset Management, has now been appointed as the new CEO of Anthos Fund & Asset Management, the asset manager for the Brenninkmeijer family, the heirs of retail chain C&A.
From 10 August, Wuijster will take over from Jacco Maters, who served as CEO for eight years, IPE sister publication Pensioen Pro reports.
Wuijster worked at APG AM for nearly 20 years, including six years as CEO followed by eight as CEO, and then left that top role in March this year.
Pensioenfonds Huisartsen – The Dutch pension fund for general practitioners has appointed Krista Nauta as chair, replacing Pieter de Graaf in the role, from 1 July.
Nauta, who was a board member at the largest Dutch pension fund ABP between 2019 and 2025, has been a board member at Pensioenfonds Huisartsen since last year, with responsibility for client services.
De Graaf is to remain as board member for investments until a successor is found.
Pensjonskasseforeningen – The Norwegian Association of Pension Funds has named Christoffer Kleivset as principal adviser from 1 October.
He is currently subject matter expert/senior adviser at Maritim Pensjon, having previously worked at the Norwegian central bank, Norges Bank.
Ocean Conservation Trust – Will Oulton has been named as chair of trustees. He brings decades of experience in responsible investment and a passion for putting Ocean health firmly on the agenda of business and finance.
Oulton takes up the role from 1 August 2026, joining the charity as it begins shaping its next chapter, building on its growing impact and finding new ways to connect more people, organisations and businesses with ocean conservation.
With more than 30 years of experience across financial services, sustainable investment and responsible business, Oulton also brings significant charity governance experience, having served for nearly seven years as a trustee director and latterly vice chair of the Marine Conservation Society.
