Credit Suisse - Yong-Moon Kim is the new managing director and head of global equities for the asset management business. Kim moves from Hong King where he worked for Mirae Asset Global Investment Management to join CSAM's Zurich office.

Morgan Stanley - The asset management firm is creating a private equity team, headed by Brian Magnus, currently head of UK investment banking, and Graham Keniston-Cooper, who joined the firm in July.

Simon Smith, currently deputy head of European investment banking, will take over Magnus' previous role, reporting to Franck Petitgas, head of international investment banking while Mark Warham will move into a new role as chairman of UK investment banking when he returns from his secondment as director general of the UK Takeover Panel.

Hewitt Associates - Russell Agius has joined the company's UK retirement practice as pension consultant. Agius joins from Higham Dunnett Shaw, where he was responsible for developing the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) preparation offering.

KPMG - Watson Wyatt's senior consultant Eddie Hodgart and Hewitt Associates' Lee Jagger have joined KPMG's London pensions practice, while Ian Warman, currently head of Hewitt Associates' Leeds office, has started at the KPMG in Leeds to head up pensions advisory services in the north east and to develop advisory services nationally for corporate clients.

Janus Capital International Limited - Ric Van Weelden, former Watson Wyatt partner and head of European business development, joins the firm as managing director of international consultant relations.
 
Independent Trustee Services - Richard Boniface, who was managing director of Paymaster until recently, has been appointed operations director.

Royal London Asset Management - Credit Suisse Asset Management's Paola Binns is the new credit fund manager from August 13, reporting to RLAM's head of fixed interest, Jonathan Platt.

The Alternative Investment Management Association -Andrew Baker, joining from Schroder Investment Management, has been appointed to the newly-created position of deputy chief executive.

HSBC Investments - HSBC's multi-manager business has appointed a UK-based specialist real estate team of seven responsible for property fund selection internationally, headed by Guy Morrell. The team has worked together at HSBC for three years and has transferred internally from HSBC Specialist Investments. HSBC plans to recruit additional team members to be based in New York and Hong Kong.

Barclays Global Investors - Mark Stockley has been promoted to head of global cash sales.  Stockley, based in London, has been with BGI for two years and most recently served as head of European & Asia (ex Japan) cash sales. San Francisco-based Robert Fischbach has also been promoted to head of US cash sales while James Finch, also in London, has been promoted to head of cash sales for EMEA. Lastly, Eric Poon now heads up cash sales in the Asia Ex-Japan region, having joined BGI from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and is based in Hong Kong.
