The trustees of the ITN Pension Scheme, which has more than 1,300 members, have appointed Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management as its new fiduciary manager.
The appointment, which follows a competitive selection process led by Isio, contributes £250m to Van Lanschot Kempen’s total client assets under management.
The investment strategy will be tailored to the pension fund’s core objectives, focusing on its current investment return, funding date, and liability hedging targets. It will also embed ESG considerations throughout the process and ensure full transparency, enabling the trustees to clearly assess value for money.
Lesley Everet, chair of trustees for the ITN Pension Scheme, said: “We appointed Van Lanschot Kempen as our fiduciary manager after an extensive, whole-of-market selection exercise with the help of Isio.”
She said the trustees were particularly impressed with the manager’s partnership model, which will aim to deliver value through a combination of personal and team excellence.
“The strength of their communication skills and collaborative nature came across strongly in the tender process. We are very much looking forward to working with them,” Everet added.
Vicky Casebourne, head of institutional relations for UK at Van Lanschot Kempe, said: “Throughout the rigorous selection process, we were impressed by the trustees professionalism and expertise. We are committed to achieving the best outcomes for the members and look forward to building a long-term partnership.
